We can do anything for you from wiccanings to christenings, rally organising to event security and marshalling!

Although we started by offering these services to the biking community we realised that what we offer appeals to a much wider community.

We also have our own in house DJ's for any disco entertainment you may need. There is Rev Buffy with his Change of Scene Disco or alternatively Hells Bells Rock Disco run by DJ Messy. DJ Messy is contactable on: 01244 383806 or website: www.hellsbellsrockdisco.com. You can be guaranteed an excellent weekend's entertainment with either of them. Music collection to suit all tastes from Meatloaf to Mozart!

Weddings

A Wedding is a significant and life changing event. To the Groom it may be a party but to the Bride it is the day that has been dreamed of and planned for since her first Barbie doll met Ken. We recognise that and want to make sure that it is memorable to yourselves aswell as your family and guests.

Whether you want a traditional white wedding in a church or have something tailored to your tastes then we will accomodate you. One of us will be able  to officiate in what ever way you want.

We also film our services and you can have a permanent record on DVD. We are not professional videographers - but we do our best.

Some examples of weddings we can arrange:

Traditional - Christian or any other religion (or none) that you want.

Nature Based - in a woodland glade or other outdoor beauty spot.

Pagan Handfasting - Wiccan, Druid or any other branch of paganism you believe in.

Themed - Star Trek, Viking, Medieval, Jedi - or whatever you enjoy. (yes we have Revs who are Jedi Knights)

Same Sex - We have no bias.

Kinky - e.g. BDSM themed where one partner can commit to marriage and love slavery to the other.

Humanist - no religious content - just love.

 

Pagan Handfasting

 Amongst The Reverends we have Druids, Wiccan Priests, other Pagan Priests and have many years experience in the nature and God & Goddess religions.

We have performed a number of Pagan Handfastings including one in Avebury Stone circle on the Summer Solstice. Check out our Gallery for pics.

 

Renewal of wedding vows

This is a service which is becoming more popular. 

Maybe your original wedding was not exactly what you wanted. Were you married in a registry office but have since decided you really wanted something more spiritual.

Perhaps your children have all left home and you want a  fresh start together and live your lives for yourselves once again.

Or did you forget your anniversary and want to show your loved one that you are still deeply committed to each other.

Or maybe you are just still in love and want a way to show it to each other in a service that better reflects you today.

Renewing your wedding vows can be taken as seriously as a wedding, and conducted in a similar way.

Blessings and Baptisms for children & the newborn

We can perform a traditional Baptisms for children or even adults. This can be held in Church or at a location chosen by you.

If a Christian Baptism is not for you then you can choose the type of Baptism or Blessing you want for your child.

Baptism, as a means of welcoming a child into a religion or community precedes Christianity by many centuries.

If you prefer then you can have a blessing. As with all our services, this can be held in the name of whatever Deity is meaningful to you.

We have performed traditional baptisms in places other than church - one was even performed in a pub. If you look at our Gallery, you will also see that we have performed a Blessing in a river surrounded by historical ruins.

Or - many churches and religions oppose abortion claiming that life begins at conception - but they offer no blessing service for unborn children, only recognising life begins at birth for this purpose. We can bless a child before it is born. This may be very relevant to you as the womb is where the miracle of life begins, what more sacred place could there be!

 

Blessing of homes

Just moved house and want to get things off to a good start with a spiritual blessing? We can bless your house inside and out in whatever way suits you. Perhaps you could incorporate it into your house warming party.

Do you feel uncomfortable in your house? Suspect it may be haunted. A blessing could help.

Has someone died in your home and you want to cleanse it and fill it with good vibes?

We have experience in blessing homes. Why stop at homes. We can also bless your car or motorbike.

A listening ear

Exactly what it says. We are always ready to listen to you if you need someone to talk to. Whether you need spiritual comfort or guidance, have a problem that is getting you down or just need a different perspective on anything then give us a go.

Do you feel that you need some 'faith' in your life but are not sure which way to go? Although it is easy to find information on different spiritual paths it is hard to find someone who will discuss your needs with you and steer you towards the right path without any personal bias. Most practitiners of any religion will point you in their direction - we will point you in the direction of a spiritual path that is most suited to you and your needs.

Need to get something off your chest? Whatever you want to talk about then we will listen in the striictest confidence and will do whatever we can to help.

We can come to your home - or you can chat to us at any event of if you see us in the pub. Although we can't guarantee any coherent help after a few bevvies - but we can arrange to set aside some time for you later.

 

Dedication of Graves

The ordinance of dedication is an act of consecrating or setting apart something for a specific purpose. This dedication deals not with people directly but with their final resting place.

It is possible today to be buried somewhere other than a community or church cemetary. We can dedicate or bless your selected site in the name of your religion and God.

The same service may be applied to where you want your ashes scattered if you have chosen cremation as your choice.

 

Funerals

In many prechristian cultures a funeral was an excuse to party - not to celebrate a death - but to celebrate the LIFE of the departed. Archealogist evidence from around ancient burial mounds shows that when the ancients interred someone in the burial mound they would have a feast and party there - possibly lasting for several days.

What do you want for your funeral? An impersonal service taken from a book with a prewritten generic service with a space for your name? Or do you want a service that truly reflects you?

Did you realise that your funeral service can be in any format you choose. As with weddings - the only limits are those set by your imagination.

There are 2 ways that we can create a meaningful funeral service.

Either - we sit down with you and design your funeral service. We keep it on file and in your will you stipulate that you want revs.me.uk to conduct your service.

Or - if you are looking for a funeral service for a departed loved one, then we will discuss with you what sort of person the deceased was and what sort of funeral best reflects this.

Every funeral is witten from scratch to be as personal as possible.

The most common reaction we get from the mourners at funerals we have celebrated is 'We didn't realise you could have a funeral like that'.

We have conducted traditional funeral services in church or crematorium chapel. Well this is what some people want. But we have also conducted funeral services from a pub - then moving as a funeral cortege to crematorium or cemetary as required.

We have conducted funeral services in native American Cheyenne tradition and even a Viking orientated service.

Many people have leanings towards Pagan beliefs but are not part of an organised group - who would like a Pagan funeral (Wiccan, Druid etc). We can be the celebrant in whatever tradition you require.

Funerals can be themed in the same way that a wedding can be. So if you (or your loved one) is a Star Trek fan, or you want a Jedi service then we will accomodate you.

We try to make the service acceptable to most mourners - e.g. the Cheyenne funeral service included the Lords Prayer - although it was in the Cheyenne language.
